    Prerequisite Initial Assessment

    Assessment Package: $310
    (Consists of  three private sessions)

    WHAT’S INCLUDED IN YOUR INITIAL ASSESSMENT PACKAGE?

    • A comprehensive assessment session with a fully qualified specialist Pilates Teacher.
    • 2 private sessions to help you develop an understanding of the Pilates method in your body.

    During your assessment session,  your posture, flexibility, strength and muscle balance will be analysed along with your goals and medical history.  A personalised program of Pilates exercises will be created which you will incorporate into your subsequent two private sessions.

    Should you choose to continue, you will follow your tailored program in studio sessions with a maximum of two other clients per session.

    INITIAL ASSESSMENT FORM

    When you book your session, we will email you an INITIAL ASSESSMENT FORM. You can fill this out online and submit. This will save time asking you in your assessment and enable you to do more in the time that you have.

    WHAT SHOULD I  WEAR?

    No Shoes: The class is done wearing (fresh) socks only, preferably not too slippery.
    Comfortable stretchy clothes: You want workout clothing that is stretchable and preferably not too baggy.

    Your teacher is looking at the alignment of your joints and how you use your muscles to move and stabilise. We do develop a level of x-ray vision as part of our training, but it still helps us to be able to see your body clearly.  However, it’s most important that you are comfortable and that your clothing doesn’t inhibit your movement.  Be aware that some Pilates exercises end up with your legs in the air or torso inverted, so it’s generally better to wear something that stays in place.

    Towel: bring a small towel as you may lie on your stomach and side and need to protect your face.
